Business Recovery Centre - West Midlands - Project Value £2.6 Million

Cobb were appointed at Design stage by their Client to this project due to its complex nature and considerable Health and Safety Requirements.
The Project consisted of expanding an existing Regional Facility into a Major Hub and Head Office Facility, in order to do this Cobb had to install a new 18,000 square foot mezzanine over live working offices and computer hosting facilities. This involved extensive and detailed project management in order to ensure that the business was in no way disrupted, the extended facility was brought on line within programme, and on Budget.
The project required the provision of a new 2Mva power supply direct from the national grid, new generator and UPS plant and all new Mains Distribution swichgear for the entire facility as well as the basic recovery and office space requirements.
Cobb have achieved this with just one scheduled mains power shutdown, Cobb have worked round the clock shifts and managed the more difficult tasks outside of business hours not only to avoid disruption but also to ensure the highest possible safety standards and minimise the level of risk to both building occupants and site staff.
Cobb, in addition to planning and managing the project, were also asked to represent and negotiate with the Building Landlords on behalf of their Client.
